Hoddle in Bolton frame

Former England boss Glen Hoddle is in the frame for the vacant manager's job at Bolton Wanderers.

The Mirror says Hoddle and Leicester City manager Gary Megson are both high on the list of candidates for chairman Phil Gartside.

Megson is free to speak because he has yet to sign a three-year contract offered by chairman Milan Mandaric when he took the post at City last month.

Mandaric wants to know why the slip-up happened. It pushes Megson to the head of the queue of potential candidates, which now also features former England boss Hoddle.

There will also be a formal approach to Hibs over highly-rated John Collins.

Megson was the first to meet Gartside, with Hoddle and Graeme Souness expected to follow suit within the next 24 hours.
