Hoddle admits Spurs outclassed by Monaco

Tottenham legend Glenn Hoddle admits they were outclassed by Champions League opponents AS Monaco last night.

Spurs were eliminated from the Champions League last night after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Monaco - their third loss in five group games this season.

"There was no passion there. I think there are too many players floating along there, not finding their best form," Hoddle told BT Sport.

"They have got to do something about it, they are all looking at each other instead of saying, I am going to be the one to change this team.

"It needs to be better defensively. They were awful defensively, but even with the ball they were poor.

"They haven't got the kind of substitutes they had last season, the squad at the moment looks a bit thin, there isn't anyone who can be a game changer coming on from the bench."
