HMRC still targeting Preston for payment of overdue taxes

Preston have confirmed that the winding-up order served on them has been dismissed, but the HMRC are now looking into a failed PAYE payment from May, meaning the shares remain suspended. Maurice Lindsay said: "It is good news that the winding-up petition has been dismissed and that season ticket sales appear to be picking up again after the announcement that the debt had been settled earlier in the week.

"We hope the fans of Preston North End will continue to support the club as I lead it into a new era."
