Thomas Hitzlsperger hopes to push for an Everton debut after winning a short-term deal last week.
Named on the bench for Sunday's first-team game at QPR, the midfielder is also keen to take advantage of opportunities as an over-aged player in the Club's Under-21 side to continue gaining his match sharpness.
He told evertontv: "My injury is very good. I am happy with the way things are now. I've been working hard and it has been like a pre-season coming back into it.
"I've played two games - for the Under-21s at Norwich and in a friendly match against Huddersfield - and I'm feeling very good. Of course I need more games to get up to match fitness but in general I'm very happy with my condition and how things are going."
