Hitzlsperger: Ballack has point to prove to Chelsea boss Scolari

Germany midfielder Thomas Hitzlsperger believes teammate Michael Ballack will be looking to prove a point to his new Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari when they face Portugal in the Euro2008 quarterfinals.

Former Aston Villa midfielder Hitzlsperger, now at Stuttgart, said: "Michael will want to prove a point against Scolari. It's good for him to play against his new manager at Chelsea and show him what he can do.

"He's in good form and I'm sure he'll show his qualities again.

"It's difficult to say who is the best player in the world, but Michael is definitely one of them. He's got enough experience to get us through, he's played in all the big games."
