Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho made history Tuesday night by becoming the first player in English football to score a goal through VAR intervention as the Foxes ran out 2-0 winners over Fleetwood Town in a third-round FA Cup replay clash.
Iheanacho broke the deadlock for Leicester two minutes from half-time when he connected on a Islam Slimani flick-on.
The Nigerian then doubled his account 13 minutes from time, but not before he was adjudged to be offside.
Referee John Moss called upon the Video Assistant Referee to check the decision. The replay showed Iheanacho to be onside by the smallest of margins and the original decision was changed.
Leicester will now face Peterborough in the fourth-round.
Speaking after the game, Foxes manager Puel said: "We needed to manage the game and put things right from the first match.
"I was pleased with the players that came into the team - they played some good moves, quickly, especially second half.
"Kelechi showed a good attitude, worked hard for his teammates and got between the lines. His first goal showed a lot of quality and the second was a fantastic move between him and Mahrez."
