Hinkel offers former club Stuttgart help to beat Rangers

Celtic star Andreas Hinkel wants to help old club Stuttgart KO Rangers in the Champions League, reports the Scottish Sun. The Hoops right back said: "Stuttgart have got their scouts but if they want to know something I can tell them no problem.

"I know a lot of the Stuttgart players.

"I played with Matthieu Delpierre, Serdar Tasci, Cacau, Thomas Hitzlsperger and I know Jens Lehman from the national team.

None of them have contacted me to ask about Rangers but that's their fault. Maybe they will be punished because they didn't ask me about Rangers. But I am here if they want to know anything.

"It's their fault if they don't know everything and get punished. I can't do anything unless they text me or ask me something."

Hinkel actually believes Rangers have a great chance at the Mercedes-Benz Arena with Markus Babbel's side struggling to get going this season.

He added: "I think it's a good time for Rangers to have this match.

"Stuttgart are under pressure at the moment in Germany.

"They are 12th in the Bundesliga. They want to go through in the Champions League.

"But to do that they will need to win their home games - so the pressure is on from their very first game. That is maybe a good situation for Rangers.

"Stuttgart have to take the game to Rangers because if they don't play well in the first 20 minutes, I know the people of Stuttgart will not have patience with them."
