Hines turns down new West Ham deal for Burnley berth

Burnley have completed the signing of striker Zavon Hines from West Ham on a free transfer. The Clarets will be forced to pay a compensation fee to their Championship rivals due to his age.

The 22 year old rejected the offer of a new contract at Upton Park in order to make the move to Burnley and he believes he has made the right decision.

He told the club's official website: "I need a fresh start and I am looking forward to playing for Burnley. It's all about me playing football now.

"Burnley seems like a good club to me so it wasn't hard to decide to come here.

"I'm not a person who talks too much. I prefer to do it on the pitch, but I think I can do a lot in the Championship for Burnley."
