Hill-Wood always confident Wenger would pen Arsenal deal

Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood says he was always confident manager Arsene Wenger would sign his new contract last season.

He told arsenal.com: "I said publicly that I was confident. He likes to take his time and I respected that. It is a big decision. He told me that he would like to sign again but he wanted to work out everything before he put his pen to paper. He is one of these people who, once they have put their pen to paper, he sticks to it."
