Gonzalo Higuain was thrilled to help Napoli win the Super Cup last night in Doha.

Pipita scored twice for a 2-2 draw with Juventus in Qatar to force penalties in their Italian Super Cup victory.

"The truth is we had a great game, I am proud of this team against a strong Juventus side, but we showed that if we have the hunger and intensity then we can beat anyone," he told Rai Sport.

"I am so happy for this Super Cup. I thank this team, as we did everything and more to win the game.

"This is for the President, the fans who are watching far away from the city. We needed this triumph to emerge from our current position.

"We must be more consistent in Serie A, as if we play like this then we can aim high. There are six months left and we can have a great season."
