Real Madrid are again ten points clear after thrashing Espanyol 5-0 last night.
Gonzalo Higuain scored twice, Cristiano Ronaldo claimed his customary goal and Sami Khedira and Kaka were also on target.
Higuain said afterwards: "Goals always help one, but helping the team is what matters. We're happy and should enjoy these moments because they come in short supply.
"I'm very happy about the game. It was important to win so as to keep our ten-point lead. We earned a good victory and we're happy for that. We must focus on each game at a time and continue to achieve our objectives."Ronaldo got the ball rolling for Real after 23 minutes, with the result never in doubt from then.
