Higuain delighted to break Real Madrid scoring drought

Gonzalo Higuain was delighted to score for Real Madrid in last night's 3-1 victory over Sevilla.

The Argentine, deputising for the injured Ruud van Nistelrooy, admitted he could sense the growing frustration from fans over his lack of goals leading up to last night's triumph.

"Yes, I could hear those murmurs, but they did not have an influence on me. It was important to stay calm. I insisted on this and I insisted until I scored again. In the world of football, one knows that things change from one day to the next and for that reason I was never worried," said Higuain.
