Higginbotham's Stoke future hinges on Woodgate, Upson

Danny Higginbotham is waiting for news from Stoke City over a new contract.

The defender's current deal expires in June.

The Sentinel says his long-term prospects at Stoke could hinge on what manager Tony Pulis has in mind for Jonathan Woodgate and Matthew Upson.

Woodgate is out of contract and Upson, who has another year left on his deal, has already expressed his frustration at a lack of first-team opportunities.
