Hiddink tells Chelsea owner Abramovich: Bring back Wilkins

Guus Hiddink wants Ray Wilkins back at Chelsea if he is to return. The Daily Star says Hiddink has let owner Roman Abramovich know he would like to work again with Wilkins, 54, as he prepares to return.

It remains to be seen if Abramovich can be persuaded to make such a remarkable U-turn, particularly as he was behind the appointment of former chief scout Michael Emenalo as Wilkins' replacement.

But Hiddink - whose appointment is being held up because Abramovich is refusing to pay Turkey £3.5m compensation - is in a strong bargaining position, as he knows how much the Russian tycoon wants him back as manager.
