Hibs striker Derek Riordan has hit out at his snub by Scotland boss George Burley. Riordan, who has one cap, said: "I was disappointed not to be mentioned for the Scotland squad. You want to play for your country.
"You have got to score goals - I've got nine and I didn't think I'd done anything wrong.
"I've had no contact from George Burley. I think my reputation has played a part in things.
"People say I don't work hard, but since I came back here I think I've worked harder than I did first time round.
"Some strikers are getting picked for Scotland yet are on fewer goals. People talk as though I'm not fit enough, but if I'm doing this only half fit I must be doing a decent job to be top scorer. I can still do better, but I'm scoring goals and that's my strength."
