Hibernian manager Terry Butcher has spoken of his delight at the possible revival of regular England v Scotland internationals.
The English and Scottish FAs are in negotiations about a friendly fixture in Glasgow later this year as a follow-up to last year's meeting at Wembley which the Three Lions won 3-2 in front of more than 80,000 fans.
In the wake of news, former England international Butcher has welcomed the return of possible future fixtures between his lot and Scotland's Auld enemy.
"I'm delighted it's back," said Butcher.
"It's a great fixture - the oldest international game in the world. And having watched them as a kid and then played in them I think it's a great occasion and something that the youngsters of today should be pleased to see." Ex-Ipswich Town and Rangers defender, who played 77 times for England added: "I loved beating Scotland.
"I could never get bored beating Scotland. I hated losing."
