Hibernian throw in bid for Scunthorpe’s O’Connor

Hibernian have tabled an offer for Scunthorpe United midfielder Michael O’Connor.

The 24-year old has been the subject of a proposal from Hibs with Scunthorpe manager Alan Knill confirming the bid.

"We've had an offer," Knill told BBC. "I spoke to the Hibs boss Pat Fenlon late last week about a general inquiry.

"In the meantime, they've made an offer and the board is considering it. At the moment he's our player until the end of the season."
