Hibernian take Norwich's Francomb on short-term deal

Hibernian have snapped up Norwich City defender George Francomb on loan.

The 20-year old right-back has made the move to Easter Road from Carrow Road until the end of the season.

Francomb will go straight into Pat Fenlon's squad for tomorrow's meeting with Dunfermline Athletic and he is excited about the opportunity.

"I'm really pleased to be joining Hibs on loan - it is a big club with tremendous potential," he told the club's official website.

"I played with (Hibs defender) David Stephens at Norwich and he's told me all about the club's fanbase and you can't help but be impressed by the training ground.

"My immediate aim is to get a regular run of games under my belt and help the team to climb up the table. I'm hungry for success and I want to achieve that here with Hibs."
