Skysports.com reports Hibernian forward Dean Shiels will join Championship outfit Doncaster Rovers on Monday. Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll is keen to see how Shiels fares in the Championship.
O'Driscoll told the club's official website: "He's played in the Scottish Premier League for a couple of seasons and now wants to try his hand here and everybody wants to come and play in England to see if they can.
"The Championship will be a good test for him and we could have waited until the end of the season but to be fair to Hibernian, we have done a deal that suits everybody in the sense that they get something for him and we'll pay a little but more if we stay up, a little bit more when he plays a few games for us.
"It just works for us. We can't go out and spend £200,000 or £300,000 on players, so the odd 50 grand here and there is better.
"He's a good age at 24, technically very good, so we hope he will improve the squad."
