Hibernian new boy Robertson thrilled to be back in Scotland after Blackpool stint

Scott Robertson is delighted to be back home in Scotland after a failed stint in England with Championship club Blackpool.

The 27-year old midfielder, who left Dundee United for England last summer, has completed his switch to Hibernian after a failed six months at Bloomfield Road with the Seasiders and is excited about again plying his trade in the Scottish Premier League.

"I'm happy to be back in Scotland and hopefully playing. For personal reasons it's great to be back as well," he said.

"The fact that Hibs are doing well this season made the decision to come here easy. The manager was also in contact and said he wanted to bring me here, which helped too. It's always a good sign that you are wanted and will be made welcome.

"There was interest from him at the end of last season but at that time I was convinced I was going to give England a shot. It never turned out too good for me but I'm fully confident in my ability that I can come here and do well.

"You learn from all your experiences in football, even the bad ones. My time at Blackpool wasn't the way I wanted it to be but I'm a stronger player and person for that."
