Hibernian bring in defender Nelson from Bradford

Hibernian have signed experienced defender Michael Nelson.

The 33-year old centre-back has signed a two-year deal with Hibs after leaving Bradford City and manager Pat Fenlon was thrilled with the addition.

"Michael is a quality defender, who knows the league well and we're really pleased to be able to add him to the squad," he said of the former Hartlepool United and Kilmarnock man.

"His experience will also help the younger players around him and Jimmy Nicholl, who worked with him at Kilmarnock, recommended him.

"We believe Michael will bring four qualities to the team - size, physicality, experience and leadership.

"Those attributes will add further strength to our squad for the start of the new season."
