Hibernian boss tips Old Firm for title

Hibernian boss John Hughes has conceded the SPL title is between the Old Firm after seeing his side lose 4-1 at home to Rangers. The defeat means third-placed Hibs are now eight points off leaders Rangers, while Walter Smith's side also lead Celtic by four.

Hughes said: "Over the course of the game Rangers ran out convincing winners.

"Did they have to do much to beat us? I think we beat ourselves at times.

"But I'm not going to be too hard on my boys. We just have to roll the sleeves up and bounce back.

"We got some answers today and possibly the biggest is that we can't match the Old Firm, which is disappointing.

"It's going to be a two-horse race (for the title)."
