Colin Calderwood appears to be on his way to Birmingham City to become their new assistant manager.
The Hibernian boss is wanted by former Newcastle United gaffer Chris Hughton, who recently took the reins at St Andrew's, and it is believed that the clubs are now negotiating a transfer fee.
Calderwood took the job at Easter Road in October 2010 but it appears as though he will be on his way to England's Championship - a division he knows well after leading Newcastle to the 2009/10 Championship title alongside Hughton.
Reports suggest that Hibs chairman Rod Petrie will clarify any compensation clauses the club has with Calderwood before the move goes through in the not too distant future.
Yesterday it was reported that Hibs had rejected Birmingham's approach but the Scottish club are now considering their options.
