Tony Hibbert has warned new Everton signing Phil Jagielka he has a battle for the right-back position.
"The best teams have got several players for every position on the park so it doesn't matter where you play, you know you face a battle to be in the team.
"Phil has proved himself at Sheffield United where he stood out in a team that, with all due respect, was struggling. He's a quality player and I know that one of the positions he is comfortable in is right-back.
"But I was pleased with my form last season and I am looking forward to this season now. It's an exciting time for the club with the UEFA Cup on the horizon and everyone in the squad knows that we'll all have a part to play at some point."
