Everton fullback Tony Hibbert is impressed by the youngsters joining them for preseason.

The Blues have just returned from a training camp in Austria where first team training sessions were bolstered by Academy players and young pros.

Hibbert told evertontv: "The lads are good players but they are young as well and need experience - that is why they have been training with us.

"Hopefully a bit of our experience is rubbing off on them because that is how you learn your football. You learn a hell of a lot as a young player being around the older lads.

"They are keen and are always at the front when we are running so they kind of pull us all along.

"Individually they are all different but if they want any advice they know we are here to help them.

"They are a good bunch, a mixture, some are quiet and some loud but they respect us and are keen to show us what they can do on the pitch."
