Former Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes isn't surprised by Toni Kroos' success with Real Madrid.
Heynckes admits attempting to convince Kroos to stay in Germany, despite having been away from Bayern for over a year.
"I counseled Kroos to continue with Bayern. However, during the World Cup, we talked and he told me that his move to his new team was done," he told Kicker.
"Toni is the best player in the world in his position, he is very intelligent. I think the great figures of Real Madrid, like Bale, Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo are better with Kroos on the team.
"He has had no problem adapting."
