Aston Villa striker Emile Heskey says he has no regrets joining the club.
The England international landed at Villa Park from Wigan Athletic despite interest from former club Liverpool but insists he is happy under Martin O'Neill.
"I am happy I am here," he said in the Birmingham Mail.
"I want to do well for Villa.
"It is going to be hard, but it is about stepping stones and the club is still trying to break into that top four.
"One day we will do it. This is the first time a lot of the players will have challenged for the Champions League and they will reap the benefits of the experience.
"They will reap the rewards and hopefully do better. I think fifth place will still be progress.
"We just take it step by step."
