Former Liverpool striker Emile Heskey says he found the decision of his former club to sack manager Brendan Rodgers as 'strange'.
Heskey, who made 150 Premier League appearances for the Reds, said he was surprised by the lack of patience shown by Liverpool who fired the Northern Irishman following Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Everton in the Merseyside Derby on Sunday.
"I found it strange at first because they gave him so much time to build but then didn't give him time for it to come to fruition," Heskey said.
But the former England international admits going without any silverware since arriving in 2012 was not a good look for Rodgers.
"Three years without a trophy is a no-no," Heskey added.
