Emile Heskey is facing showdown talks with Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill over his want-away comments this week.

The Mirror says O'Neill will read the riot act to striker Heskey after fuming at his admission that he wants to quit the club to save his World Cup dream.

O'Neill was understood to have been "staggered" by Heskey's revelation and will haul him in for talks at Villa's Bodymoor Heath training ground.
