Former Bayern Munich star Andi Herzog is backing their move for Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez.

Bayern were eliminated by Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals, and lost to Dortmund in the semi-final of the German Cup.

And it is those disappointments which have Herzog calling for big-money signings this summer.

Andi Herzog also wants Bayern to go for Kylian Mbappe, but thinks he will cost too much

"Mbappe would also be ideal, but Bayern will not spend €130 million (£110m)," he said.

"And they should do everything within their powers to sign Alexis Sanchez."
