Hertha Berlin defender John Anthony Brooks is on the verge of committing himself to the USA U20 team according to head coach Tab Ramos.
The 20-year old German-born Brooks has represented both the US and German U20 sides but could link up with Ramos and the rest of the Americans for an upcoming tournament in Toulon, France, which begins on May 2 and includes games against Colombia, France, South Korea, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
"There's been a lot of progress lately, that Brooks may be joining us for Toulon, but we're not 100 percent sure yet," Ramos told ESPN.
"If all goes well, there's a very good chance that Brooks will go to the (U20) World Cup (in Turkey this summer)."
