Hertha Berlin move for want-away Real Madrid defender Metzelder

Hertha Berlin are ready to snap up want-away Real Madrid defender Christophe Metzelder.

The Germany international has made no secret of his wish to quit Real at the end of the season after a disastrous 12 months.

Hertha are keen to bring Metzelder back home and hope to sign the 29 year-old on a free transfer.
