Hertha Berlin are demanding an answer from Pierre-Michel Lasoggas over their new contract offer.
The Germany U21 striker is about to enter the final 12 months of his current deal and is being linked with Newcastle United.
Hertha chief Michael Preetz said: "This contract has been available for months from us. We will see in the next few days if we will carry on.
"It is up to the boy to express himself."
Preetz added: "We will see if we can find an appointment and sit down with him at a table."
Meanwhile, Lasoggas said: "It's no secret that as a child my dream was playing in the Premier League."
