Hertha Berlin defender John Anthony Brooks admits he has ambitions of playing in England.

At Hertha, Brooks is playing alongside on-loan Liverpool midfielder Allan.

"I have always said that it is a dream of mine to play in England," said Brooks to Kicker.

"But I will not say that it has to happen immediately. I'm here to do something big in Berlin, I have extended my contract until 2019. Everything goes in the right direction, I have no pressure and am doing well under Pál Dárdai.

"But I do not want to lie to anyone and say I'm staying here forever - and then I'm gone three months later. At the moment I am super happy here.

"But at some point there is certainly a dream, a time to accept a new challenge - if Hertha says it fits for them, and it fits well for me."
