Hertha Berlin general manager Michael Preetz is tightlipped on their interest for Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko.

It was claimed the Bundesliga side were on the verge of a season-long loan deal for the Russia international, who has struggled to make a significant impact in the Premier League.

A year-long deal away from North London had been mooted, but Preetz told BILD: "The transfer window has closed and I am not prepared to make comments on things like that."
