Hertha Berlin striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga will make a decision this week over his future.
Germany U21 international Lasogga met with Hertha chief Michael Preetz about his situation, with his contract due to expire in a year's time.
"Next week there is a decision. It is only about three clubs: Hertha, HSV (Hamburg) or Newcastle United," revealed Preetz.
Lasogga scored 14 goals last season on-loan at HSV.
