Hernandez leaves FC Dallas after three weeks as assistant coach

Daniel Hernandez has been relieved of his coaching duties with FC Dallas after less than a month.

The 36-year old former defender ended his playing career at the end of November before taking up an assistant coaches job with the Texan club but he has already met his demise.

Dallas head coach Schellas Hyndman preferred not to give the reasons for the termination of Hernandez's contract but did wish him well for the future after more than three years service in Frisco.

"In regards to the inquiries on the status of Daniel Hernandez, per team policy, we do not comment on employment matters," said Hyndman.

"What I can tell you is that we appreciate everything Daniel has done for our club over the past three-and-a-half seasons and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors."
