Aston Villa midfielder Chris Herd is expecting fellow young gun Andreas Weimann to push on after scoring his maiden Premier League goal last weekend.
The 20-year old Austrian striker netted the injury-time winner over Fulham at home, pouncing on a mistake from Herd's Australian counterpart Mark Schwarzer, to get a head onto the ball and then knock home from close range.
The goal gave Villa a vital victory and Herd now feels that Weimann can take plenty of confidence from that moment and now forge a strong career at Villa Park.
"He's got a lot to bring - goals, link-up play. He's only young as well so he's going to be a great player here.
"I think a goal like that can change your career.
"He'll kick on and hopefully get a few more goals and who knows where he can go from there if he keeps on going.
"I think it can kick start his career at Villa.""Andi is a great player, he's an Austrian U21 international," Herd told the club's official website.
