Chris Herd is delighted for good friend Andi Weimann over his matchwinner for Aston Villa against Fulham last week.

The pair came through the Villa youth system together.

"Andi is a great player, he's an Austrian U21 international," Herd told Villa's website. "He's got a lot to bring - goals, link-up play. He's only young as well so he's going to be a great player here.

"I think a goal like that can change your career.

"He'll kick on and hopefully get a few more goals and who knows where he can go from there if he keeps on going.

"I think it can kick start his career at Villa."
