Heracles defender Davidson on radar of Premier League, Bundesliga goals

Heracles Almelo defender Jason Davidson has emerged as a target for clubs in England and Germany.

The 22-year old Australian left-back has impressed in the Dutch Eredivisie this season but comes out of contract with Heracles in the European summer which has attracted the interest from both Premier League and Bundesliga outfits.

Davidson, who is being tipped to make Australia's World Cup squad, told SBS that he will make a call on his club future after the FIFA tournament in Brazil which concludes in mid-July.

"I have a couple of offers on the table - one from the Premier League and one from Bundesliga - but the plan is wait until just after the World Cup to make a final decision," said Davidson.

"If I do play in Brazil and do well, then that could possibly bring even greater interest in me and give me other options also.

"My main aim is to go to a club where I can be playing and performing well each week.

"It all depends on finding one that will suit my game. I am not thinking about how much money I might earn … I am thinking about going somewhere I will have the chance to flourish, whether it's a big club or a small club. That doesn't matter.

"You want to be playing - not just a squad member. The next step for me is very important and there is also the Asian Cup ahead next year at national team level and I would love to be a part of that."
