Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp could be stopped from taking the England job by her indoors.
The Mirror says Redknapp's wife, Sandra, is worried about the long haul to the FA's new £100million National Football Centre.
And that means Redknapp will be expected to regularly attend the new state-of-the-art training HQ.
But wife Sandra does not want to move from their luxury home in the Sandbanks peninsula of Dorset, which is more than a 300-mile round trip to Burton by road.
A source said: "There is concern about Harry's travelling and the FA is desperately keen that it does not become a stumbling block.
"Harry wants the job and there is no doubt he is favourite to land the role.
"But the distance to and from his home, especially to Burton, is an issue.
"His wife Sandra loves Sandbanks and that is why Harry makes the 240-mile round trip to Spurs training every day."The FA want whoever succeeds Fabio Capello to oversee their plans to develop young players all the way through to the senior ranks.
