Thierry Henry is looking to work on his on-field partnership with New York Red Bulls signing Kenny Cooper.
The former 1860 Munich and Portland Timbers forward joined the Red Bulls this off-season, and after playing together for the first time in a Desert Diamond Cup draw with Mexican club UNAM Pumas, Henry is eyeing a fluid relationship up front for the New York club.
"He could've put the ball in the back of the net, but we need to develop that partnership, and see if Luke (Rodgers) can come back or not. It's a good (partnership).
"We could've done better, but you need to remember this is in their season and you can see they were sharper than us.''"We didn't train a lot together obviously, because I just arrived. But I was trying to find him in the beginning part of the game,'' said Henry.
