Hennessey determined to win Wolves number one shirt

Wolves goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey is keen to stay as the clubs number one.

The Welshman started last season as number two to now departed Marcus Hahnemann but ended up wearing the gloves as Wolves staved off relegation to remain in the top flight.

Despite the signing of Dorus De Vries from Swansea City and the fact that Carl Ikeme is fit again, Hennessey is determined to be number one at the Molineux.

"I felt really good last season. When I did get into the team I thought I did well and hopefully I can continue like that," he told Express & Star.

"I managed to play 24 league games which was good and my aim now is to play for a whole season.

"We all set ourselves targets as players and try to reach them and it's all about trying to improve all the time.

"I'm still only 24 and have played nearly 150 games for Wolves which is good.

"I still think I have more to come and it's just good to be back and looking forward to another season."
