Former Aston Villa star Lee Hendrie fears for his old club.

Hendrie hates to see his old side languishing in the lower reaches of the Premier League but he believes only a change in approach will reverse their form.

"They are well behind at the moment," the Holte End hero told the Birmingham Mail.

"I think the days of Villa being exciting at home (have gone).

"Teams used to fear coming to Villa Park but now I don't see that being the case.

"No disrespect to the likes of Palace and teams who have come up from the Championship, but they are half thinking they are going to come up and get a result.

"That is quite scary really because being in the situation we're in - that's where we need to be winning games to definitely keep our place in the Premier League."
