Henderson set to sign five-year deal at Liverpool

Jordan Henderson has reportedly agreed a long-term deal with Liverpool.

The Daily Mail suggests that the 24-year old midfielder is set to soon put pen to a five-year deal believed to be worth around £100,000-a-week.

There were fears that Henderson, who has captained the Reds with aplomb during Steven Gerrard's absence this term, may have been lured away from Anfield but it appears as though he is set to commit to the cause.

It is believed that the Reds vice-captain, who is contracted until the summer of 2016, will pledge his allegiance to Liverpool until 2020.

Former Sunderland man Henderson has been one of Liverpool's most consistent performers this season with seven goals and 13 assists in all competitions.
