Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has revealed he is 'not too far away' from making his comeback from a foot injury.

The 25-year-old suffered a broken foot during training in August and is yet to play for new Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.

Henderson told Sky Sports he is hopeful of returning to action in the coming weeks.

"I'm getting there," Henderson said.

"This is one of the longest periods of time I've been out for and that has been tough for me.

"Hopefully I'm not too far away now."
