Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson is excited about playing his first game back at Sunderland since departing last summer.
The 21-year old left the Stadium of Light for Anfield for £18million at the end of last season and cannot wait to get back out on the pitch when the Reds head to the North East tomorrow.
"It felt strange playing against Sunderland on the first day of the season.
"Although I have become used to the fact I am a Liverpool player, tomorrow is bound to be a bit odd for me seeing all the staff again."
He added: "I was happy at Sunderland but when a club like Liverpool comes in for you, you have to see it for the opportunity it is.
"I have won a League Cup medal in my first season and we have not given up on a Champions League place either.""I am looking forward to the game but I expect it will feel a bit strange having to go into the away dressing room for the first time," he said.
