Henderson: Liverpool intent on catching Man City

Jordan Henderson says Liverpool still have fourth spot in their sights.

The Reds defeated Newcastle United 2-0 on Monday night to move within four points of Manchester City who occupy the Champions League play-off position.

With six fixtures remaining, Liverpool have City well within their view and captain Henderson feels there is a chance they can edge the reigning champions out by season's end.

"We've got ground to make up but we'll just keep going, keep winning in games and putting in performances," he told Sky Sports 1.

"Come the end of the season, you never know."

Raheem Sterling and Joe Allen scored either side of the break at Anfield to beat the Magpies who saw Moussa Sissoko sent off for a second bookable offence in the 83rd minute.
