Helsingborg IF are keen to keep Alejandro Bedoya for longer than the one-year contract he signed in the summer.
The 25-year old American left Scottish giants Rangers after they fell into liquidation and subsequently into the Third Division to sign on with Swedish outfit Helsingbor for a season.
Bedoya has impressed in early outings for the Allsvenskan side and sports director Jesper Jansson says the club wants to retain him but suggests the ball is in the court of the former Orebro man.
"It's a darn good football player. He is modern in its gameplay and mature beyond plan. Alejandro sits with all the cards in your hand," read a translated excerpt in Helsingborg Dagblad.
"We have not sat down to talk yet, but Alejandro wants to play football. While we all know that he left the headlines once larger context."
