Helsingborg have confirmed their interest in Sunderland striker Rade Prica.

Helsingborg director Sten-Inge Fredin told FotbollDirekt.se: "In the summer break we made great efforts to bring Rade Prica home.

"We worked hard for it, but he thought it was too early to come home. It is a pity because I think he was a player who had played well for us.

"We have not spoken to him since this summer, and since we have not heard from him I suppose that his decision of the past still stands firm."
